Dark Grappa Aged 12 months Fratelli Brunello
Grappa Aged obtained from the careful distillation of fermented marc of red berried grapes from Veneto.
Distilled using the artisanal method, Grappa La Scura ages for over 12 months in 350-liter Allier oak barrels. Presents light sensations of vanilla, yeast and honey. On the palate it is harmonious, full-bodied, but not aggressive.
It goes well with medium-intense chocolate, with a good medium-aged cheese.

Raw material
It is obtained from the careful distillation of fermented marc of red berried grapes from the Veneto region.
Artisanal distillation
The FRATELLI BRUNELLO Distillery has always used a discontinuous direct steam system, one of the few still in operation, conducted at low pressure and low temperature. It is made up of 4 boilers strictly in copper, as tradition dictates.
The distillation cycle is very slow and involves the processing of small batches of (cooked) marc which lasts about an hour and a half.
Seasoning and Aging
After resting in inert steel containers for about 8 months, to improve the softness of taste, the "La Scura" Grappa is transferred to the Fiscal Warehouse where it will age in new and second passage barrels in 350 liter Allier oak, for over twelve months. During this time, the gradual and slow transfer of color, aromas and wood toasting to the grappa takes place.
Tasting
Straw yellow in color that varies from batch to batch, it has a moderately intense aroma, with light sensations of vanilla, yeast and honey.
On the palate it is harmonious, full-bodied, but not aggressive, it shows a good personality and drinkability.
Service and Pairings
12-16 ° C in tulip-shaped chalice.
It goes well with medium-intense chocolate, a good medium-aged cow's milk cheese, and a good cigar.
