This is a Single Malt from the Miyagikyo Distillery, Nikka's second distillery built in 1969. Founder Masataka Taketsuru chose this site in the Sendai Mountains to contrast his first distillery, Yoichi, located in the coastal area.

Using less roasted and distilled malt in a pot still heated by indirect steam, Miyagikyo single malt has an elegant fruit growing and distinctive aroma with a strong Sherry influence.
Color: Deep gold
Aroma: Intense with notes of barley malt, bananas, licorice, apricots and floral scents
Taste: Lively with notes of ginger, cinnamon, fruit, oak and coconut with hints of chocolate and a light smoke
Final: Long and soft with notes of toasted hazelnuts, barley, oak, tobacco and spices with hints of fruit
