The project is the union of two cultures: the passion for the craft of the Berta family and the skill of the best scottish tradition, represented by a global company like Diageo, the world leader in premium drinks. Two cultures that are so different are joined, however, by the passion for distillation.

A part of the grappa, the tradition of the campaigns of the Italian land, and on the other, the single malts of scotland, the fruit of the fields of northern Europe. The name Beyond the Vallo recalls how no one has ever been able to go beyond the old fortifications of Hadrian, the wall which was the northernmost border of the Roman Empire in Britain for much of the period of roman rule over these lands. A fortification which divided the island into two parts. No one was ever successful to go beyond this boundary, until today, when Highlands and Monferrato join symbolically in this distilled spirit that is aged. The barrels, selected one at a time, and they come from those distant lands, from the oldest and most prestigious scottish distilleries: Lagavulin, Caol Ila and Mortlach, important names that have made and make the history of the best scottish whiskies. Of amber color, Beyond the Vallo is characterized by a soft taste and enveloping. At the beginning is an explosion of aromas ranging from notes of grape skins, raisins, dried fruit and almonds. In a second moment, these feelings give way to a slight hint of smoke, peat and malt. Silky and enveloping, remains long in the mouth and the reconfirmation of the palate the sensations of softness, in a bouquet of aromas reminiscent of orange, hazelnut and, the end, tobacco and honey. Alcohol content: 43% vol. and is offered to the public in an elegant tin.
Recommended glass: Goblet Selection.
