Produced only with Sangiovese grapes from the vineyards youngest of the company, the Rosso di Montalcino is aged for 12 months in large barrels and barriques, and later, he spent a period of aging in bottle. The aging in wood, though not mandatory for the specification of the Rosso di Montalcino, gives this wine complex aromas and structure that make it a great "young Brunello", smoothing out the tannins typical of the Sangiovese young.
