Amarone Stella DOCG 2015 Aneri
Amarone comes from the evolution of Valpolicella viticulture. About sixty years have passed since its debut. The predecessor of this great wine was the “Recioto”, a sweet wine known since Roman times. This wine was born from selected grapes of high quality and with a slight spontaneous drying, fruit of the area, characteristic for its climate, the truth of the grapes present and for a less luxuriant viticulture.
With the change in food needs and tastes, which have led wine to be sought after in all tables and no longer only in those of the wealthy gentlemen, we have gradually witnessed an intensification of the vineyards and more important productions under the point quantitatively. And it is precisely from this that Amarone has its origin. A lower quantity of sugars present in grapes leads to a more regular and faster fermentation, until the sugar is almost totally transformed into alcohol. Here is the secret of Amarone: that ideal and perfect balance of the elements that make it up and that make it at the same time powerful and delicate, austere and complex, simple and refined, or if you like, simply “unique”.
Amarone Aneri "Stella" is made from classic Valpolicella grapes, vinified together without the aid of biotechnology. Aged for over four years in small and medium-sized oak barrels, it is then bottled in a single batch. And it is precisely the respect for its long history and tradition that makes this wine great in the world.
