Belcanto Chianti Classico DOCG Nittardi
Ruby red color, juicy hints of cherry and raspberry on the nose with light notes of Mediterranean scrub and floral notes. Medium-bodied with crisp tannins on the palate and a fresh and long finish. It goes well with appetizers and first courses of creative Tuscan cuisine. It is recommended to serve it at around 16 ° C.
Belcanto Chianti Classico is produced entirely with grapes grown in our vineyards in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti. One part comes from our vineyards in Nittardi, located at 450 meters above sea level, while the other comes from our vineyard south of Castellina in the Villa Rosa area located at 270 meters above sea level.
Both vineyards have a clayey - calcareous soil, rich in Galestro which give a good freshness and length to the wines. The vineyards in Nittardi are planted exclusively with Sangiovese grapes while the vineyard at Villa Rosa, planted in 1968, mainly sees Sangiovese grapes along with seven other indigenous varieties such as Canaiolo, Colorino and Malvasia Nera. On the Belcanto label, Michelangelo is depicted on a mosaic of eight Galestro stones, typical for the soil of our vineyards.
