Bricco dell'Uccellone Barbera d'Asti DOCG Braida
L'Uccellone was the nickname of a woman who lived on the hill of the vineyards. Her nose resembled a bird's beak, plus she always wore black: this earned her the nickname in the village. Hence the name Bricco dell'Uccellone.
Very intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. Rich, complex bouquet of remarkable concentration and thickness; in particular there are hints of red fruit and small fruits, in the background some mint spices, vanilla and licorice. Generous flavor, full-bodied and remarkable structure, perfect amalgamation of the characteristics of the grape and the contribution of wood, in a combination of great softness and great class, very long aromatic persistence. It accompanies great meat dishes, roasts, also with sauces, aged cheeses.
