It is a red wine obtained through an ancient winemaking practice called ripasso. This consists in placing a part of Valpolicella, produced in the previous autumn, on the pomace of Amarone, after the latter has been decanted in March. The grapes used to produce this wine come from vineyards located on the morainic hills of Valpolicella.

Color : ruby red. Clear and transparent.
Nose : broad and complex: notes of cherry, raspberry and red currant give the wine a note of freshness.
Taste : on the palate the wine is fruity, well balanced and structured. Alcohol and acidity are in good harmony; the wine is warm and round. The aftertaste confirms the sensations of the olfactory examination. It is a long and persistent wine.
Duration over time : suitable for aging (12/15 years).
