Freisinger Vernatsch embodies the fruity and pleasant side of this variety deeply rooted in the history of South Tyrol. An authentic interpretation from which a versatile wine is born to combine with the typical recipes of Alpine cuisine.

Color: ruby red
Smell: fresh and fruity bouquet with pleasant notes of red berry fruit
Taste: Fresh fruit flavors with delicate notes of bitter almond. Light tannic structure. Light wine, extremely pleasant. Ideal with pasta, pizza, vegetables and fish dishes. Also excellent with "lugànega", it cannot be missed with the typical South Tyrolean snack of speck, Kaminwurzen (smoked salamis typical of South Tyrol) and cheeses.

After a dry winter and an initially cold month of March, spring temperatures above average favored early budding and premature flowering. From mid-May to early June, the weather was mostly rainy and humid. In the subsequent ripening phase, rainfall was normal, with few heat peaks with concomitant short periods of drought. Throughout the summer the nights were characterized by a pleasant coolness. The harvest began at the beginning of September and until mid-October was repeatedly interrupted by single days of rain, fortunately alternating with prolonged periods of sunshine. White wines are fresh, with an intense olfactory profile. The red wines, of great finesse and elegance, indicate a great aging potential.
