It was IGT Umbria Sangiovese Lamborghini
Ruby red in color tending to garnet, the nose has notes of dry leaves and humus, followed by red berry fruit and nutmeg.
On the palate it is perceived a pleasant sapidity, firm tannins and long finish.
We recommend pairing with red meat and cheeses.
ERA IGT Umbria Sangiovese, our interpretation of the most widespread grape in the area of Lake Trasimeno, is produced for the first time with the 2007 harvest.
The name was suggested by Mount Era which, with its harmonious and rounded shape, dominates the vineyards and the estate.
In Greek mythology Hera, wife of Zeus and queen of Olympus, is the goddess of marriage and fertility.
The vineyards from which it comes are all highly planted, with about 5,500 plants per hectare and yields not exceeding 1.5 kg per plant.
Maceration lasts fifteen days in contact with the skins.
Subsequently Era passes a period of refinement of five months in tonneaux within which it carries out the malolactic fermentation and then rests another six months in the bottle.
