Langhe DOC Nebbiolo Pelissero
For this wine are used the grapes that from year to year in our opinion are not suitable for producing Barbaresco. The increase in the production area of our company means that the grapes coming from the new plants are included in this product, which in our opinion, precisely because they are young, are not complete to produce grapes destined for a great Barbaresco.
Technical notes:
In vinification we try to maximize the freshness characteristics of Nebbiolo: not very long macerations and with controlled temperatures to have gustatory and olfactory freshness. The refinement is carried out partly (20/30%) in barriques, of which a percentage of new ones, which varies from year to year, and partly in 50-hectolitre wooden barrels for a period of about 8/9 months. After blending, it is left to rest for about two months in the bottle before being put on the market.
Tasting card:
Clear, bright, purplish red hues with the evident lighter tannic nuances visible on the glass edge typical of Nebbiolo. The olfactory sensations are persistent, fragrant, open and highlight the fruitiness and immediacy of the wine, surrounded by well perceptible notes of strawberry and raspberry, characteristic of this wine. Good gustative persistence with the presence of the slight tannic note typical of young Nebbiolo, well surrounded by wood and other gustatory components of the wine (proteins, mineral salts and trivalent alcohol). The aftertaste is also good with long and stimulating chews.
