Purplish-red color is very intense. Stand out notes classics such as plum, cherry and raspberries, accompanied from spices, vanilla, hay and cocoa. In the mouth it is full, fragrant, intense. The sugars are not elevated, leave a aftertaste along, of fruits of the forest, chocolate and liquorice.

Bertani produces Recioto with the grapes coming from the hills of Valpantena, the same varieties which produce the Amarone. Born from the grapes themselves are smaller and better exposed to the sun, then dried for about three months on the traditional “aréle”. The typical aromas of cherry, enhanced by the particular refinement in barrels of cherry wood to be a concentrate of sour and morello cherries. Dense and velvety, the Wine is never cloying, leaves the palate clean with a hint of nuts that makes it unique in the panorama of the sweet wines: sweet, intense red and with the fine tannins of the oak. It goes well with the pastry and fruit tarts, and becomes downright intriguing in the combination with young cheeses and mustards.
Ageing: it ages in cherry cask of the capacity of 30 hl for about 12 months. After the bottling there follows a period of ageing of at least three months.

|Production area||The hills of the Valpantena, north of the city of Verona. The soils are marl-limestone to the east and clayey-calcareous rich in iron to the west.|
|Vinification||The fermentation is carried out initially at a temperature much lower (4°-5°C) to achieve the 18°C and is stopped before all the sugars are transformed into alcohol.|
|Maturation||Ageing in cherry wood barrels of a capacity of 30 hl for about 12 months. There follows a period of bottle aging of at least three months.|
