Réserve du Château AOC Bordeaux Supérieur Château Pey La Tour
Completely overwhelmed by the quality of this vineyard which dates back to the Middle Ages, Dourthe acquired the estate in 1990. For more than 25 years, a new viticultural approach has been applied to the entire vineyard, respecting the terroir and grape varieties in search of excellent quality. of the fruit. Thanks to a rigorous management of the vineyard, the harvest is very extended over time, allowing all the grapes to be harvested at optimal ripeness. La Réserve du Château, which expresses the specific character of the best terroirs, is aged for 12 - 14 months in the barrel room adjacent to the cellar. The results of these efforts have today been rewarded not only in the loyalty of our customers, but also in the excellent press reviews, which have brought Château Pey La Tour well above its denomination.
Intense ruby color with violet reflections. Intense, ripe aromas of black fruit, black currant and blackberry predominate on the nose, intertwined with notes of wood. The wine is full-bodied, fleshy and complex on the palate, where notes of kirsch echo the bouquet. Well integrated tannins complement the rich structure and reveal their true glory in a wonderful finish.
