Rossese di Dolceacqua is the first Ligurian wine to have obtained the DOC (1972).
The name derives not from the ruby red color but from the French word 'roché' to indicate the rocky soil on which it is cultivated.

Rossese plants are grown along the terraces between 350 and 450 meters above sea level.
Color: Ruby red. If aged garnet on the edges.
Bouquet: Intense and continuous is expressed in a wide but composed and personal bouquet, hints of small red berries, cherry, rosehip and spices.
Taste: Savory, fresh and elegant, warm on a nice bitter background.
