Rosso di Montalcino DOC Pian delle Vigne estate
With a bright ruby red color, it has a fruity scent rich in cherry and raspberry notes well integrated by delicate hints of wood. On the palate the wine is enveloping, with soft and silky tannins, energetic and persistent.
After a few years of experimentation on the vines with the aim of achieving a high quality wine with the 2012 vintage, the Rosso di Montalcino is born which joins the production of the other two wines of the estate: Brunello Pian delle Vigne and Riserva Railway vineyard.
The grapes were de-stemmed, softly pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature around 25 ° C, in order to preserve the aromatic component with maceration times of about 8-10 days. . At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred to large wooden barrels, where it began its refinement period which lasted about 12 months.
