The Chianti Classico Tenuta Perano was born in the hills of Gaiole in Chianti, from the vineyards located at 500 meters s.l.m. Exposure south, south-west and especially in the form of an amphitheatre of vineyards, promote the solar radiation and concentrate the heat.
The combination of altitude, exposure, configuration and slope of the vineyards, represents a qualitative uniqueness extraordinary, giving to the wines a purple color, bright, fruity bouquet which is intense and tannic structure, imbued with an elegant vibration.
Winter 2016, to the Estate of Perano, was characterized by abundant precipitations, even snowfall, and temperatures that are rather low. The hard winter has left and then step to a spring rather mild. The warmth of the spring days has awakened the vegetation from its sleepy winter, leading to a budding regular and facilitating the development of a beautiful leaf surface. Already in the first week of June, we witnessed the debut of the flowering.
The hot days of summer, well sunny and ventilated, and have allowed the vineyard to carry out the photosynthetic activity.
Veraison has colorful clusters of grapes of the Estate Perano in the month of August, a period during which there were two beneficial rains by preparing the grapes to perfect ripeness and succulence.
The year 2016 has given us wines of extraordinary intensity of aromas and richness of structure.
