Cartizze is the toponym that identifies an area of 106 hectares in the municipality of Valdobbiadene. The most widespread hypothesis on the origin of the name is the one that derives the name from "gardizze", a term of the local dialect that indicates the racks used for the over-ripening of the grapes. Distributed in the hamlets of Saccol, San Pietro di Barbozza and Santo Stefano, Cartizze has a young, fruity aroma and a delicate taste. Excellent aperitif, it also goes well with light desserts.
