The name "Methius" derives from the search for a local toponym that links the origin of the company product to the territory of birth.
The etymology of the chosen name is lost in history. It is known that already in 1150 (Prince Bishop and Mainardo II Count of Tirolo) the name of the two villages located in the "Piana Rotaliana" were: Methius Coronae (today Mezzocorona) and Methius Sancti Petri (today Mezzolombardo) where the common radical "Methius" derives from Celtic and Vulgar Latin.

Trentino is a land undoubtedly suited to the production of sparkling bases.
If you add an artisanal production that respects traditions, you get TRENTODOC, or the classic Trentino method. It is from these assumptions that METHIUS TRENTO DOC was born in 1986 thanks to the friendship between two oenologist friends: Carlo Dorigati and Enrico Paternoster.
Trento Doc Methius is produced only in the Riserva type, to underline the excellent quality of this product and its uniqueness.
The aging cellar, located in Mezzocorona (Trentino), dates back to the early 1900s, is completely underground and built with the "barrel faces" almost all in squared stone.
Here the bottles of Methius stand for 60 months, at an almost constant temperature and humidity all year round.

Color: straw yellow with golden reflections, fine and persistent "perlage"
Bouquet: intense and complex, slightly spicy and with a hint of ripe fruit
Taste: enveloping but not aggressive mousse. Sensation of softness and fullness with long persistence, thanks to a good structure and balance
