Lafóa: from the pilot vineyard to top wines
The name Lafóa recalls the beginning of the qualitative revolution in South Tyrol and the pioneering work carried out by Cantina Colterenzio in the 1980s. At the time, the pioneer Luis Raifer on the vineyard of the same name not only planted new vines, but at the same time introduced new quality standards: less yield for grapes and better quality wine. It was precisely on this pilot vineyard that the “Lafóa idea” was born: the introduction of new quality standards that are still rigorously followed by both the winemakers and the collaborators in the cellar. Today Lafóa is synonymous with whites and reds with strong structure, refined and with great aging potential.

|Vinification||Soft pressing of the whole bunch. Fermentation of the must in new and used barriques and partially malolactic fermentation in wood; a period of 10 months of aging on fine lees follows, accompanied by regular batonage.|
