Friulano Collio DOC La Castellada
Rich and structured white wine, the Friulano of the La Castellada farm comes from a vinification in oak vats on the skins and from a long aging in barrique. This is why the bouquet is intense and complex and the taste is deep and full-bodied, capable of enhancing all the aromatic richness of the grape.
The grapes have been de-stemmed and the crushed grapes are left to ferment in open Slavonian oak vats for 4 days. Fermentation continues in barriques and tonneaux where subsequently the wine also carries out malolactic fermentation
It ages over 11 months in barriques / tonneaux and 12 months in stainless steel tanks and at least 12 months in the bottle without being filtered.
The Friulano white wine presents itself to the eye with a typically straw-yellow color, very intense. Deep nose, which develops on an olfactory texture in which fruit and wild flowers alternate with notes that recall aromatic herbs.
In the mouth it is full-bodied, round, with an intense sip, enveloping the palate; ends with a finish of excellent persistence. A genuine label, created by the La Castellada winery following natural techniques, which respect the integrity of the grapes.
