Ca 'Fischele Gambellara DOC Dal Maso
« Dal Maso »
Ca 'Fischele comes from Garganega grapes from “vielles vignes”, in Italian “vigne vecchia” to indicate vines older than 30 years. By nature they offer very few fruits but of the highest quality.
The history of the Dal Maso family begins at the end of the nineteenth century on the gentle hills of Montebello Vicentino in the province of Vicenza. The founder of the family was Serafino Dal Maso, the great-grandfather and founder of the company. From the end of the 1960s his father, Luigino Dal Maso, marked the great turning point, following, indeed always anticipating, the evolution of the wine market in the 1980s and 1990s. In fact, an important series of investments began, the acquisition of new properties in the most suitable areas of Gambellara, of the Berici Hills south-west of Vicenza, and already in those years he started the first exports to numerous foreign markets. Loyalty to the Venetian territories is what has always characterized the cellar: each wine speaks of the style, the Dal Maso family and the terroir of the Berici Hills, Gambellara and the Lessini Mountains. It is the earth that possesses the qualities, man just has to understand them. Dal Maso wines are the mirror of an artisan knowledge of making wine that turns into research and project, based on the careful study of the peculiarities of each vineyard.
