The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old is part of our Double Cask range, which combines classic Macallan style with the unmistakable sweetness of American oak. A decidedly balanced and perfectly balanced single malt, with aromas of honey, citrus and ginger.
TASTE: Delicious honey notes, spicy woody and citrus scents, balanced by raisins and caramel.
FINISH: The oak lingers, warm, sweet and drying.

It followed our journey of The Macallan cask from its origins in the forests of America and Europe, through the casks and bodegas of Spain, to our distillery in Speyside, Scotland. There the casks meet our new spirit and are patiently matured until they blend harmoniously to create a distinctive single malt with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.
