Sahumerio is the 2020 Cihuatàn Limited Edition Rum. It celebrates fire, a symbol of love and passion, also understood by the Maya as a benign and transforming force. In every Mayan house there was a "sahumerio" container in which incense and aromatic plants were lit, including tobacco and cocoa, to favor Chantico, goddess of fire and love. Chantico took the form of an eagle or a snake, so if one of these animals was found in or near a house, love was on its way!

Sahumerio rum captures the hypnotic beauty of a campfire in every sip. For this 14-year-old rum, barrels have been selected with characteristics such as to evoke the smoky scents of what burned in the Mayan sahumerios. Dried myrtle, incense, cocoa butter, honey, dried apricots.
