De Buris is not just a wine. De Buris is an enchanted place, a villa rich in history and art whose roots go back to Roman times. Villa De Buris preserves two thousand years of Valpolicella history: Here the De Buris project has found the ideal space to grow and transform.
Here it is the vineyard: we are in the highest part of the La Groletta vineyard, at 250 meters above sea level, with very low yields it has always been considered a privileged area for the quality of the grapes. The best place to give birth to a dream: looking at Lake Garda but protected by the Lessini Mountains, in an ideal position, because the microclimate must be perfect. The soil, then, is thin and fresh, the main way to reach that ideal of quality that has guided our project.
A growth path started more than twenty years ago by the Tommasi family, one of the protagonists of the history of Amarone and Valpolicella and which is finally realized with the fourth generation. Everything revolves around the one hundred and ten days of drying, a Time for the grapes that will return multiplied in the glass dressed in richness, complexity and depth, after five years of aging and resting in large Slavonian oak barrels.
