The La Tordera farm was born on the hills of Valdobbiadene, in the heart of the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG production area, between Venice and the Dolomites. Always attentive to innovations, they have never forgotten the link with our land and its traditions; out of respect for this little paradise and the wonderful fruits it offers, they are looking for an increasingly green viticulture in harmony with the environment, with constant thought of past and future generations. They owe their name to a gentle hill, in the Cartizze area. This hill once housed a roccolo commonly called Tordera. In the autumn season, in fact, the thrushes came down from the nearby mountains in search of food among the rows of vineyards, from this tradition the hill took the name of Tordera. Although the roccolo no longer exists, the name has remained alive in the collective memory.
The Brunei area takes its name from an ancient locality cultivated with prunus, the Latin name for plum. The wine recalls the taste of unripe wild plum.
The grapes used for the production of this wine come from the Serrai vineyard, a name deriving from the term “chicken coop”, located near the old birthplace of the Vettoretti family.
Takes the name of the ancient owner, the Cavalier Tittoni, who, after the destruction of the spinning-mill, which took place during the First World War, he donated all his land to the Nursery School in Vidor. For the past 70 years, these vineyards are cultivated by the family Vettoretti.
