In the green of the Tuscan hills, nestled in the crown of Chianti, is the Azienda Agricola San Leolino in the locality of Casariccio which produces with its 8 hectares of vineyards three red wines with different peculiar characteristics. The flagship of the “Il cinque” IGT Toscana Rosso winery, harvested and squeezed by hand selecting the bunches, aged in oak barrels for 14 months and aged in the bottle for at least six months.
“Casariccio” Chianti Superiore: Chianti produced according to the ancient regulations of Count Ricasoli and the innovations made by the Chianti consortium. “La Fonte” IGT Toscana Rosso Sangiovese in purity is created through a selective harvesting of the best Sangiovese grapes.
It also produces a fortified wine, the divine vin "Ugo", the vinsanto, in memory of the poet Ugo Foscolo and his love story with a gentle woman from the village of San Leolino.
The Toscana Sangiovese Regno all'Uuso Toscano di San Leonino is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti. This wine is produced following a methodology that distinguished the Chianti area for wine production in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
Intense ruby red color, the nose is characterized by its references to wild berries, such as currants, blackberries and mulberries, which are embellished with spicy nuances of pepper, licorice and cloves.
