Brown beer with characteristic warm hints. The main ingredient is the prized CHESTNUT HONEY from the GRAPPA DISTRICT adjacent to the brewery. Sweet beer, full-bodied with a pleasant bitter finish. Beer for meditation and to be left to mature in the cellar.
TASTE: Overlying chestnut honey, roasted, herbaceous bitterness, slight acidity due to roasted malt, caramel, hop bitterness balanced by roasting. Complex bitterness resulting from a combination of honey, roasted malt and hops. Full-bodied.
APPEARANCE: Foam: beige, compact, persistent, fine; liquid: dark, free from suspended solids, possibly veiled by yeast. Fine perlage.
BOUQUET: Pronounced chestnut honey, balsamic (chestnut polluted by lime), bitter herbaceous, roasted, light caramel, ethyl when the drink heats up, wax, impregnated wood (hive frames).
