Terre Bianche's goal is to obtain the utmost fidelity in the transformation of the grapes, from the vineyard to the wine, to arrive at a product that is as representative as possible of our territory, unique. We believe that only a deep knowledge of the vineyards, the vines and the cellar techniques can allow a coherent interpretation of the vine and the terroir.
A knowledge, therefore, which does not weigh down the wine with unnecessary and artificial trappings, but which on the contrary allows to enhance its natural qualities with a few but precise interventions, respecting the vineyard, the wine and the vintage.
Pigato is a Ligurian variant of Vermentino that has adapted to our coasts. The name derives from the Genoese dialect 'pigau' and indicates the rust-colored spots that can be seen on the Pigato grapes in an advanced stage of ripening.
Rossese di Dolceacqua is the first Ligurian wine to have obtained the DOC (1972). The name derives not from the ruby red color but from the French word 'roché' to indicate the rocky soil on which it is cultivated.
