Single malt with a light amber color In the mouth the taste is soft, full-bodied, with fresh notes of flowers and exotic fruits on the nose, supported by hints of sweet spices such as vanilla and tobacco.
This no-age version was released in 2016 as a permanent product that truly captures the authentic style of Yoichi malts, when all age claims have been discontinued. By bottling several malt whiskeys together, this bottling expresses a delicate balance of peat, smoky and fruity aromas.
This is a Single Malt from the Miyagikyo Distillery, Nikka's second distillery built in 1969. Founder Masataka Taketsuru chose this site in the Sendai Mountains to contrast his first distillery, Yoichi, located in the coastal area.
This expression was custom designed to perfection as a hybrid of Nikka's tradition and modernity. Using mostly malt whiskey in the formula, the precise blending results in a perfect marriage of rich malt flavors and soft mouthfeel of Coffey Grain with a complex finish.
Nikka Whiskey From The Barrel is a blend that combines Japanese tradition, a very successful mix of single malt whiskey and Japanese grain whiskey obviously all coming from the Yoichi and Miyahikyo distilleries.

This Whiskey Single Malt on the nose is a burst of peat with hints of honey, fruit and sweet oak. On the palate it is immediately sweet and strongly peaty followed by hints of spices, iodine, wood and dried fruit. The finish is long and persistent with smoky and phenolic notes.
Named the best Speyside Single Malt at the 2015 World Whiskeys Awards, this 16YO BenRiach was also a Gold Medal winner at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in 2006.
