Harvested at the end of September, the fermentation, which lasted about 20 days, took place in 30 Hl concrete tanks. After racking, the wine rested for 18 months, partly in cement and partly in second passage oak barrels from the Barolo area. Finally it rested in the bottle.
The excellent native vine "Lacrima", which has always been present in our company, was used in the past to "flavor" the other red wines. Today vinified in purity allows us to obtain a deep ruby red wine with a fruity scent, where the violet and the fruit of the undergrowth blend in absolute harmony.

La Schiava della Val Venosta is a red wine rich in character and authenticity that tells of its origins: of hot summer days and poor rain, of particularly windy spring and autumn weeks, of strong temperature variations between day and night, but also of snow and winter frosts.

The king of red wines is very demanding, making it possible to grow high quality grapes only in the best wine-growing areas. Precisely in Val Venosta this vine finds the ideal conditions to thrive: slightly permeable soils, protected areas and poor rain combined with abundant exposure to the sun.
