It was 1895 when Oscar Despagne, a French liqueurist, arrived in Sicily by ship, or in “batò” as he liked to tell, to collaborate with Pellegrino for the production of amaro. Batò Amaro Siciliano comes from the slow and long maceration in alcohol of over twenty officinal herbs and essences.
Produced in England by a historic company famous for its gins, Apium Gin is the classic London Dry style, delicate and light with a hint of lavender on the finish. Perfect as a work gin, but also ready for the most stocked bottle.
Santòn's recipe uses 30 different species of spontaneous medicinal herbs and aromatic spices. The combination and maceration of the herbs are a kind of “magic”, a very subtle balance of flavors that support each other to create an unrepeatable result.
