This vine, most likely originally from Germany, was introduced in Alto Adige around 1900. Today it is mainly grown in the Isarco Valley. The Sylvaner prefers slopes not too high, well ventilated and sunny in the middle Valle Isarco. The broken up and gravelly soils give the wine its incomparable elegance which, although it recalls the homonyms from beyond the Alps, still reflects the unmistakable typicality of the wines of the Isarco Valley.
