Completely overwhelmed by the quality of this vineyard which dates back to the Middle Ages, Dourthe acquired the estate in 1990. Color: deep ruby red almost impenetrable. Bouquet: intense fruity notes of blackberries, blueberries, vanilla, myrtle, leather and licorice. Taste: wide and velvety, with great structure and aromatic persistence, it is a full-bodied wine.

Color: intense ruby red, with light garnet reflections. Bouquet: rare, complex notes: plums and blueberries, sweet spices, bay leaves, juniper, tobacco and chocolate. Taste: rich, warm, soft, fruity, spicy notes, tannins of rare elegance.

The grapes are harvested manually only when they have reached full sugar and polyphenolic ripeness. Some of the bunches are not de-stemmed. The duration of maceration depends on the years and the characteristics of the grapes, and can vary from 10 to 20 days, at a controlled temperature.
