The quality of the grapes to be used for the Riserva type, produced only in the best years, is initially determined with rigorous manual selection in the Pianrosso vineyards, subsequently followed by a long maceration on the pomace and prolonged refinement in barrels and bottles.
A ruby red wine tending towards garnet, it has intense, broad and complex aromas. Fruity, spicy, sometimes ethereal: the notes of ripe red berry fruit harmonize pleasantly with multiple spiciness; the taste is warm, harmonious with pronounced but soft tannins; a full-bodied wine with long taste-olfactory persistence that will evolve further with long aging in the bottle.
