Recantina - Montello - Asolo Hills DOC Serafini & Vidotto
It is ruby red of marked intensity and luminous transparency; it is at the same time smoothly flowing and consistent: a very pleasant and inviting aspect.
At the first smell it is distinctly fruity, floral and spicy. Sweet hints of black cherries, ripe raspberries, wild blueberries are recognized, surrounded by fresh "nuances" of violet and lilac; then the opening on ground white pepper, licorice, leather, sweet tobacco.
In the mouth it is immediately warm and savory, with an evident perception of sweet and well-polished tannins; the sip is full and succulent with an opening to fresh fruitiness; it has perfect balance and long persistence where, in pleasant alternation, the elegant bouquet of the nose are perceived in full and gradually fade.
It is a wine for balanced red meat dishes: Florentine steak, duck breast with aromatic herbs, baked guinea fowl; excellent on “scottadito” lamb chops and on half-aged cow's milk cheeses.
