The Barbera grapes from the Barolo and Barbaresco areas give our Barbera exclusive characteristics of full structure, fleshiness, complexity, softness, hints of very ripe fruit, spices and a long life.
The grapes harvested when fully ripe are fermented exclusively with natural yeasts in truncated conical vats of thirty quintals, the cap is submerged manually for the entire duration of the fermentation which normally takes 2 weeks for each variety. After the racking, the wines are placed in...
The name "the squire" is a tribute to the well-known "knight" of Michele Satta, of which I am a disciple. But it is not only due to a debt of gratitude that I have made this choice but due to my conviction, gained through experience. Sangiovese has its own expression of great value, even in...
Dense ruby red with purple hues. Aromas of spices, blackberry, jam, undergrowth. Palate of solid structure, with notes of vanilla and incense, with a sanguine tone, with herbaceous sensations, with royal tannins, with a noble alcoholic breath, with a spicy and fruity finish.
Color: dark garnet-cherry red Bouquet: fruity scents of morello cherry, blackberry, including almond, are prevalent on the spiciness (white pepper) typical of the grape and on the notes due to aging in wood, vanilla and menthol; it has a real composite and enveloping bouquet Taste: sweet but...
Ruby-purple with excellent density and definition. Intriguing aromas of embers, chine, berries. The palate is as dense and structured as it is subtle and rich in nuances. The tannin is compact, the length full of flavor, the finish tastes of Mediterranean and medicinal herbs.
Our Barbaresco is the result of the careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes from vineyards owned by our family, located in different positions within the Barbaresco area: in Treiso (Cascina Il Bricco, San Stefanetto and Bongiovanni) and in San Rocco Seno D 'Elvio (Rocche di Massalupo).
A Barolo with a classic style, full-bodied and elegant, with structure and harmony, with soft tannins and the right fruit, austere but persuasive. Very long life.
Spicy, savory, medium-bodied, but with a great fragrance. Excellent with fish. It should be served slightly chilled.
Ruby with garnet shades. Varietal aromas ranging from earth to herbs, from leather to cherry. The palate, juicy and tonic, is punctuated by mentholated transparencies, by notes of wild berries, by a complete development, with compact tannins and a finish with pepper notes.
