Maglen Pinot Nero Riserva is a selection of precious grapes , the synthesis of our historic vineyards of Mazon and Glen , the highest expression of Pinot Noir in South Tyrol.

Color: ruby with garnet shades
Flavor: fine, fresh and elegant notes of pear and hay, toast with spread butter, spicy notes of tobacco, vanilla and incense
Taste: Fruity and fresh, with a delicate and elegant taste, persistent, with a good fruity tannic structure. Versatile, it goes well with structured dishes with intense flavor, such as ravioli stuffed with sheep's cheese or first courses of fresh pasta with meat sauce. Ideal for light main courses of meat such as roasts. Impressive with wild rabbit or feathered game. Served fresh, it is excellent to accompany fish dishes and is excellent with the hottest cheeses.

Winter ended with heavy snowfalls in the mountains. Milder-than-usual temperatures in March and April and well-fed soils led to uneven and premature germination. May was characterized by lower temperatures which delayed flowering. The heat and humidity of June increased the risk of fungal diseases, which was contained thanks to careful manual work in the vineyard. The remaining summer months were characterized by a period of drought, interrupted only by some severe thunderstorms. Two heatwaves have practically had no downsides. Since mid-August, temperatures have dropped sharply. During the whole harvest period there was a strong thermal excursion. The harvest began two weeks later than the previous year. The white wines of the 2019 vintage boast an impressive freshness, while the Gewürztraminer are particularly elegant. The red wines, on the other hand, have decidedly fruity notes and a lively tannic structure.
